During the blacklist in the late \u201940s and the \u201950s, he wrote all kinds of scripts, with some signed by writers who fronted for him and some under pseudonyms. Then he broke the blacklist by writing big-budget, big-ego productions\u2014Hanson\u2019s chapter on\u00a0<em>Spartacus<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Exodus<\/em>\u00a0is worth the price of admission alone.
